{A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle.}

I'm unfortunately missing this month's book club meeting because we're in Edmonton but that didn't stop me from getting a jump on next month's book. The theme for June/July was travel (!) so I read A Year in Provence. It's a book I'd been meaning to read because I remember my parents enjoying it and it did not disappoint. Maybe I was still riding a France-loving cloud from My Life in France, but it was so enjoyable! For some reason I really enjoy people's observations about the seemingly mundane world around them (if you can't tell from my On My Way To ... posts) and this book was full of them. I loved the descriptions of hilarious bickering between glasses of pastis and the endless plates of rustic, French food. Yum!
