Recently I've been pondering hot versus cold. Soccer refs and American gun control. Love. Sisters. How lucky I am to have the friends that I have.

And moments of sheer bliss. There was one this weekend: a hard hike, followed by a cold stream, good friends and a bit of generosity, that will make our lives a lot easier.
